Xcelodose Service Technician

 

Job Purpose

To build, test and service machines in the Xcelodose range, and other automation machinery.

 

Responsible to

Xcelodose Business Manager

 

Direct Reports

None

 

Qualifications Experience

An electro-mechanical background. Must have a minimum qualification of ONC in electronics / mechanical / automation engineering and at least three years experience of either test engineering or field service engineering. Must be numeric and PC Literate, with a minimum knowledge of Excel, Word and Email packages. The ability to wire and produce wiring looms would be desirable.

Key Duties

  • Read and interpret circuit diagrams (control and mains wiring), assembly drawings
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components
  • Integrate mechanical and electrical components with controls software and test
  • Diagnose and fix faults on electromechanical equipment and record as necessary
  • Prepare systems ready for FAT
  • Maintain the stock control for Xcelodose ensuring there is both sufficient parts to guarantee the production of new machines, on time and within budget, and to satisfy After Sales Service requests
  • Attend customers premises to complete Installations of Xcelodose machines
  • Log customer service requests and ensure they are dealt with promptly in the absence of the Xcelodose Technical Manager
  • Review Installations with the Xcelodose Technical Manager and Xcelodose Business Manager to collate knowledge database and future planning
  • Work with others to build a strong team
  • Promote a professional outlook at all times both within the team and when representing the organisation
  • Strive for excellence in all aspects of the role setting an example to all
  • Strive to exceed customer expectation at all times
  • Ensure that you and anyone in the organisation works safely and within the Health and Safety Legislation
  • Work within and understand the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO9001 2000 TickIT. Contribute towards its improvement
  • Work within all other Company systems and protocols.
