Xcelodose Stock Controller

 

Job Purpose

Manage all aspects of Xcelodose parts stock control from ordering, goods received and quality control.
To ensure the Company receives the goods and services it purchases, on time, to the right quality and at the best possible price. Manage Xcelodose customer spares orders.

Xcelodose Business Manager

Qualifications Experience

Knowledge of purchasing goods and materials within an Engineering environment. A good knowledge of MS Office, with particular reference to spreadsheets is required. Will be able to demonstrate experience of negotiation with suppliers and good organisational skills.

 

Job Role

Purchase goods and services in line with the Company’s systems and procedures. Ensuring parts are available to meet with Xcelodose production schedule, sourced from quality approved suppliers, capable of providing goods and services on time and to the right quality consistently. To manage customer spares orders ensuring they are assembled, tested clean and dispatched in a timely manner.
Use the Company’s systems to give Xcelodose Business Manager complete visibility of delivery status.

Key Duties

  • Manage all aspects of Xcelodose parts stock control from ordering, goods received and stocking.
  • Interpret drawings and discuss exact needs with suppliers
  • Negotiate prices and terms of delivery with suppliers
  • Place orders for goods and services in accordance with Quality procedures
  • Update appropriate spreadsheets and systems with required information, enabling others to see the status of orders
  • Where necessary chase suppliers to ensure they meet delivery deadlines
  • Where necessary address issues of quality with suppliers, ensuring the cost effective and timely resolution of defects
  • Help maintain a list of approved suppliers in accordance with the Quality procedures
  • Routinely review supplier performance, with the Quality Manager, and when necessary take remedial action
  • Actively compare prices, quality and delivery between suppliers to ensure the Company achieves the best possible solution for its needs
  • Manage spares orders to exceed customer’s expectation in terms of delivery.
  • Assemble spares orders, test and clean
  • Work with others, including the Quality Manager to ensure that Design information best meets the needs of Purchasing
  • Work within and understand the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO9001 2000 TickIT. Contribute towards its improvement
  • Work within all other Company systems and protocols.
